Ah! He looks just like my boyfriend's old bird, Tattoo...though he usually calls him Puffy (because of the puffing up they do when they fluff their feathers ). Really nice work here. How old was Frankie? Tattoo's 26 now, maybe even 27 technically. He's about a year younger or older than me, more or less. He's a cranky bird, but we've come to an understanding, I think. He's grown more attached to me now because I'm home during the day, which is when he's awake, so he sees me the most. My boyfriend works during the day, so Tattoo only sees him when he wakes up in the morning (and wakes us up), gets fed/cleaned. I fear the day my boyfriend comes home & I have to tell him that Tattoo passed away He's had the bird since he was like, 9! He claims he doesn't like him, but I know he'll be devastated...and Tattoo's always giving me the scare, nearly falling off his perch in his sleep. Crazy old man. Here he is: [link] ...not quite the same, his grey is solid.
How cute!!! I dont know how old Frankie was....I got him from a friend of my mothers....but he ate a candle...and it killed him. Bird friends are wonderful....I someday would love to have another...but not for a while. He was my best friend back then, and I still miss him.
I would love to have one of those smaller parrots...I forget what they're called, but they're orange and not nearly as noisy as macaws or cokatoos. In the mean time, I keep trying to convince my boyfriend he should get Tattoo a friend. Poor thing can only handle so much of the company of cats!
i had a latino cockateal and he passed six years ago. his name was chicken. i loved him dearly. he was my best friend. this picture really brings me back. i love it. sorry for your loss.
Oh thank you..Yeah I was pretty broken up when Frankie died...he was my companion and friend. I cried and cried. I did this in his honor...I think he came out looking pretty content. Thanks for your comment, and I am sorry for your loss as well. Losing a great pet-friend is just as hard as losing a person-friend sometimes. Thanks again!
