I know this title kinda sucks...but I'm not all that into titles anyway...unless they crack me up. BUt anyways..this is finally done. A few mistakes were made with proportion and placement...but she is quite a colorful gal! I went crazy with the neon prisma's...they are so much fun! Prismacolor colored Pencil sharpie and white gel pen on white canson.
FULL SIZE IS BEST!

Im always intrigued by images where you can find another object hidden in them. And you've really done a great work with blending the two objects together, the face and the butterfly. It doesnt look pasted on, or as if it's a mask, it really look as if the butterfly is part of her.
She makes me think of something etheral, magical. Someone who would be a great holder of knowledge in a fairytale.
All of your work dazzles me with colors, and I wish I could be as bold as you when I color my paintings. The black lines and shadowing really makes the colors pop a whole lot as well.
The whole image looks thought-through and improvised at the same time, again something I like. Like it went through an organic process being made. The opposite of painting-by-numbers to draw a rough comparison.
She's incredible, and I wish she was depicted in full body with surroundings, because I think she would be even more so. But as I ponder this, even as youve only made a portrait, I can let my mind fantasise on its own what the surroundings might be, and how she's sitting, or standing. So its not such a great loss.
i felt that writing a critique for this would be fun, not just because teresa is one of my many artists i eagerly await a new piece from, but because this particular posting she would update several times throughout the process of creating this piece, giving us a personal viewing into her creative process.
a lot of the detail in this drawing was obviously not preplanned, and improvised along the way. the results pay off.
teresa is one of many artists i follow here on dA who's work is a unique culmination of style and technique that create a distinct presence: once you become familiar with her work you can easily identify a work of her's in a lineup. one of my favorites of her's is titled "ursula's dream" [link]
sometimes the improvised little details that are worked into a piece in the final stages of creation become definitive factors in a work of art, whether it be a song, a poem, or a painting, or a comic strip. this very fact seems to stress the importance of patience in the creation of certain works.
this one is such an example and is a feast for the eyes. ( i really like what appears to be a little creature on the bridge of her nose)
That's very beautiful- the more I look at this piece of art; the more it slowly begins to show more and more exquisite detail. The colours are very well done- pencils? You have a very good style of drawing/technique
